Tuesday 29th Jan: Progressive Women's Funny Fundraiser
Keep away the January blues, Progressive Women are delighted to invite you to join us for an evening of comedy. Laugh until your bones are warm! Compered by Tiernan Douieb, starring: Helen Keen, Catie Wilkin, Amy Howerska, Tamar Broadbent, Ann Domoney, Jessica Fostekew, Lou Sanders, Chris Coltrane, Blod Jones and Kate Smurthwaite. Comedy Pub, 7pm, £10.

Thurs 31st Jan: Non-Reproduction Symposium
A two-day interdisciplinary symposium at Birkbeck, University of London supported by Birkbeck School of Arts and MaMSIE (Mapping Maternal Subjectivities, Identities and Ethics). 9.30am onwards, Birkbeck, free!

Thurs 31st Jan: MissRepresentation discussion
The RHUL Feminist Society and Islamic Society are teaming up for a discussion on how Muslim women are represented in the media, female Muslim role models and Islamic Feminism.
It's happening in the Arts Lecture Theatre 2, 6 - 7.30pm.

Friday 1st Feb: Miss Representation screening
The Birkbeck Women's Committee are screening Miss Representation - a film which  “explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence.” 
Room B18, in the basement of the Malet St building, at 8pm. Free!

Sun 3rd Feb: Suzanne Lacey Silver Action
Tate Modern presents a new participatory artwork by artist Suzanne Lacy that deals with two key themes in public discourse - ageing and activism - in relation to the specific role of women in recent history in shaping the public agenda. 2pm, Tate Modern, free!

A fundraising THEATRICAL DANCE PARTY, featuring well known artists and musicians to celebrate women in  what promises to be an empowering, festive, carnival night of dance!

Monday 4th Feb: London Feminist Discussion Group
'Each month, we’ll be nominating a blog post, article or book that has challenged us, and using it as the starting point for our discussion. This month, we’ll be talking about Hannah Mudge’s post, Fear not the mythical Evil Twitter Feminist.'

London Feminist Network meeting to discuss plans for the future. See and their forum for more information. Open to all women. 6.30pm, central London, free!

Fri 8th Feb: Skirt - A DiscoLiberté. Egalité. Beyoncé! Sassy music to dance to.  9pm - 2am,  Resistance Gallery, £3 on the door. All proceeds to Education For Choice.

Weds 13th Feb: Unspoken Words
QMEquality and QM Literature Society present "Unspoken Words: A Night of Feminist Poetry and Spoken Word". Two set lists and an open mic session. 6.30pm doors open, the Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green, free!

Thurs 14th Feb: One Billion Rising
Lots of events happening in and around London.

Weds 27th Feb: Women Writing History
In celebration of their acquisition of the Women’s Library, the LSE will host a discussion of the role of women in literature, the arts and academia today. 1 - 2:30pm, free
